"Born in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1948, Lee Oskar landed in the States in the mid 60’s and is most popularly known as one of the founding members of the seminal jam band WAR. Together with Harold Brown, BB Dickerson, Howard Scott, Lonie Jordan, Charles Miller, and “Papa Dee” Allen, WAR started out supporting the former Animal front man, Eric Burdon. Together with Burdon, their very first recorded effort contained the popular tune Spill The Wine, unleashing the genre-busting sound of WAR for the first time. Not far down the road the group set out on their own to compose and perform huge hits like, All Day Music, City Country City, Me and Baby Brother, Low Rider, Why Can’t We Be Friends, The Cisco Kid, Slipping into Darkness, The World is a Ghetto, and many others. Today, the musical legacy of WAR continues as Lee and original members Howard Scott (guitar/vocal) BB Dickerson (bass/vocal) and Harold Brown (drums/vocal) continue to perform and collaborate as “The Lowrider Band.” The Lowrider Band has been performing around the country, jamming the classic hits they composed and promoting the new name to get the public ready for new music to come from the heart of the classic line-up." Quality Manufactured Tire Valve Stems
Recently a Top*Shelf Accessories customer asked a question regarding the tire stems we offer at a wholesale price. The question was about the manufacturer and the questioner attached a blog consumer report which outlined a recall of the TR-400 series valve stems which were proven to be faulty due to a rubber rot from the manufactured lot back in late 2006. This faulty valve stem was installed in a tire of a particular Floridian which failed and caused the man to wreck taking his life in 2008.
After our investigation we found the particular death which sparked our questioner's concern while overwhelmingly valid was only for a certain batch manufactured by a particular company in China between August and December of 2006. We are glad to report our Top*Shelf Accessories valve stems did not originate for this manufacturer.
Further investigation showed where the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) through it's investigation ascertained the valve stem in question and found it to have certain identifying marks on it as shown here. The valve stems sold by Top*Shelf Accessories do not have this particular identifier. Instead, they show another manufacturer which is an ISO9000 manufacturer and has no history of recalled products. Remo Powerstroke 3 22" Drumhead with Falam Patch

Remo has knocked the skins off of the drum head market with it's Powerstroke 3 22" bass head. This head features a thin underlay at the outer edge of the head to subtly dampen unwanted overtones. And, it creates a near-perfect balance of response and tone control that has quickly made Powerstroke 3 one of Remo’s most preferred drum heads. Listen to what people have to say about it:
"When I purchased my kit I was displeased with its heads and then purchased the Remo Powerstroke 3 head. It was wonderful and I absolutely love it. This head provides me with the strength, attack, sound, and value I have always wanted. Remo is definitely my number one choice." LiL' Drummer Boi from Gastonia, NC.
"I just recently changed the head on my 22" kick, and I went from a REMO weatherking to the Powerstroke 3. I had to stuff the drum excessively with the weatherking, to keep the ring down, and the sound was flat, and had no "click" to it. With the Powerstroke, I was able to take out most of the stuffing and the sound is great. It has a deep, loud boom with a satisfying click and no ring. Beautiful..." ShadesOfBlack from Oakland, MD.
"Incredible sound, punch, response. An overall outstanding product. With over 10 years of experience of playing drums, with no doubt this is the best bass drum head I have ever owned." Anonymous Musician from Starkville, MS.
Its no wonder Remo is the Standard on 90% of Drum sets. This is a premier head for the money. Top*Shelf Accessories

Clayton's "Big Stubby" Picks

Plain and simple, these picks saved the playing of many upcoming musicians. Those who had reached a point where they just couldn't play anymore. Even if you have tried just about every pick out there, these are a refreshing revelation. These "Big Stubby" picks are incredibly durable and made exclusively by Clayton.
The pointed tips of the "Big Stubby" makes tremolo picking a breeze. And, pinch harmonics seem to come more naturally simply because of their small design frame. Also, these "Big Stubby" picks have improved string picking accuracy during fast riffs and solos. These picks are highly recommended for anyone who's looking to improve on their playing styles. We Should All Be So Lucky
We should all be so lucky to set back on weekend and watch some of the best classics ever made. The one's that leave you preoccupied long after the credits have rolled across the screen. Watching the oldies allows one to escape the mundane realities that are ever so present in our daily lives. I'm so glad these great classics have been preserved and are still sold at a reasonable price. Try one out some time. Top Shelf Accessories has a variety of genres available at a less than $5.00 price-a very modest investment. This particular DVD called "Anna Karenina" starring Vivien Leigh is a movie rendition of Count Tolstoy's massive novels, "War and Peace," and "Anna Karenina" which are personally quite challenging. Here Vivien Leigh gives a creditable performance of this distraught heroine, with Director Julien Duvivier Anuith in this classic script adaptation. If you haven't seen this classic, you should. Pick one up today at your favorite store and get lost in the nostalgic times of old. Top*Shelf Accessories
